Donation of Secondhand Clothing

We have donated secondhand clothing to West Park School in Durban in the Republic of South Africa. A clothing drive was conducted with the cooperation of the head office, Niigata Mill and Osaka Mill via our internal newsletter and other means. Seventeen boxes of shirts, pants, and other clothing were loaded onto our wood chip carrier (homeward voyage) at the Port of Niigata's East Port and donated to the school.
Roughly 200 students with a disability attend West Park School, many of whom commute from orphanages. Students and teachers appreciated the clothing, thanking us for the "wonderful Valentine's Day present."
We will continue this initiative as part of our social contribution activities.
